Nikkie Whaley

Nikkie Whaley was appointed to serve a two year term in March of 2017 and was reelected to a two-year term in November 2018. She  moved to Arizona in 2009, has a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of San Francisco. She has over 15 years of experience working with youth and families in the areas of behavioral health and education.  Nikki  is a graduate of Valle del Sol’s  2012 Hispanic Leadership Institute and a former Board Member for  One n Ten, an organization that serves as a resource and support to LGBT youth. She works for the Arizona School Boards Association providing leadership development to school boards across the state and promoting equity in education She is a proud mother of two Washington Elementary School District students and has been a classroom volunteer and a member of both the Acacia Elementary School PTA and Site Council.
