2018 - Ginny Dickey

Ginny Dickey is bringing her decades of local experience including two terms as a Councilwoman and FHUSD Board Member to the office of Fountain Hills Mayor.

Since moving to Fountain Hills in 1983, Ginny has been very involved in the community and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2010. She participated in the Fountain Hills Town Hall planning sessions over the years, starting in 1984. During her tenure on the Fountain Hills Unified School District Board, from 1994 to 2002, she served twice as President.

In addition to her positions as a local elected official, Mrs. Dickey was most recently the Executive Director of Arizona List. She was the Assistant Director of Legislative Affairs for the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality for seven years, worked for the Arizona State Senate and contracted with the US Attorney’s Office as a liaison with neighborhood safety program partners.

Her record of community involvement is extensive. She was a Charter Member of the Fountain Hills Cultural Council Board for seven years, served nine years on the Community Theater Board, earning their Founders Award in 2009. She was a member of Metropolitan Business and Professional Women (2007 Woman of the Year) and the Public Policy Chair for the American Association of University Women.

Born and raised in New York, Ginny lived in Vermont and New Hampshire before following her parents Dr. Vincent and Vera Russo to Fountain Hills. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Tufts University. Her family includes husband Jim, her three sons, Jim’s son and daughter, their spouses and eight grandchildren.
