Regina Romero was elected to serve on Tucson City Council in 2007, representing Ward 1. Romero was the first Latina woman elected to City Council, and the first woman to represent to Ward 1. She brings more than 15 years of experience in progressive public policy, job training and neighborhood reinvestment to the Council.
How Regina has Helped Arizona
Regina has successfully championed efforts to bring new jobs and economic development to Tucson, while working to improve the climate for existing small businesses by jump-starting the Small Business Commission and improved the Small Business Enterprise program, a plan that enhances opportunities for local vendors to do business with the City of Tucson.
