Elizabeth Hart-Wells

Dr. Elizabeth Hart-Wells is a teacher, chemist, inventor and proud parent. She currently teaches chemistry at Glendale Community College, a campus that serves primarily Hispanic and Veterans communities. Dr. Hart-Wells served as Vice President at the Purdue Research Foundation (PRF) and, as a direct reflection of her abilities to identify and establish collaborations between and among synergistic entities, held concurrent posts at Purdue University as Assistant Vice President, Office of Research and Development and Associate Director, Burton D. Morgan Center for Entrepreneurship.  Dr. Hart-Wells has contributed to 5 peer-reviewed journal publications and is a co-inventor on U.S. Patent 7,238,514.  New knowledge creation is a lifelong passion and led to Dr. Hart-Wells being competitively selected by the American Chemical Society to serve as a senior Congressional Fellow in the United States Congress and to her serving as a research associate to The National Academies Committee on Science, Engineering and Public Policy. Dr. Hart-Wells is a critical and strategic thinker with proficient diplomatic skills exemplified by her professional experiences in science, higher education, policy, industry, and technology transfer.  She brings a unique and transferrable skill set that, coupled with a strong work ethic, dedication and honesty, will benefit and inform governance.
